Fred Christian worked many hours as a teacher, coach, official and athletic administrator from 1970-1995.  Fred spent most of his professional career in the Norman and Moore school districts.  He suffered a heart attack while officiating a high school football game in 1995.  He made significant contributions at the state and national athletic administration levels as a valuable officer in both the OIAAA and NIAAA.  Fred was a fine gentleman and truly cared about kids.  Hopefully this scholarship will provide an Athletic Director’s child with the opportunity to better themselves and make a valuable contribution to society.  His own children were the first recipients of the scholarship.

The Oklahoma Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association will recognize the scholarship recipients during the Oklahoma Coaches’ Association summer clinic.  Deadline for student applications will be May 1st.
